About Drug Substance Manufacturing
Drug Substance Manufacturing (DSM) comprise of three departments covering different steps in the biopharmaceutical production such as Media Preparation, CIP, SIP of equipment, expansion of cell cultures, and purification via multiple column steps. The common denominator of the Media Prep, Cell Culture and Purification departments is the acknowledgement and development of each employee and the diversity of the employees who have different experiences and educational backgrounds but collaborate closely on getting our medicine safely and quickly to the market.
About the team
The three departments comprise a number of teams, with 8-10 Manufacturing Associates in each. Each team is passionate about reaching ambitious goals while having fun together. With the exciting transition to FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, the manufacturing site in Hillerød is operating as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
About the Training Program
The Training Program for Graduates has a duration of two years in which you will go through different rotations with your fellow peers. You will be trained in upstream or downstream processes covering – respectively – Cell Culture, Purification, Media Prep, Buffer Prep and Documentation. Additionally, you will spend time getting introduced to support areas such as QA, Engineering, Manufacturing Sciences etc. After the two years you will continue as an established member of the Drug Substance Manufacturing team.
The Program holds amble opportunities for personal development and provides a unique learning opportunity within the pharmaceutical industry. From day one, you will be assigned a mentor during your program, who will support and help you through your time with us and provide career development opportunities.
During your training period as Graduate in Manufacturing, you will e.g. work on the following tasks within an upstream or downstream scope:
- Execution and revision of cGMP documents
- Handling and completion of batch documentation
- In-process measurements and aseptic sampling
- Execution of validation protocols
- Read and understand work instructions (in English)
You will work on a day, evening or night shift, 7 days during a 14-day period, including every other weekend.
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday
Qualifications and Education
We are seeking for talented new Graduates with a Bachelor or Master degree relevant for Biologics Manufacturing, e.g. Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
You enjoy working with numbers, mathematics and IT tools. You can see yourself working in a manufacturing and international environment where things move fast. In addition to this, it is a requirement that you have good English skills in writing and speech.
As a person you are quality-oriented and thorough. You are proactive, responsible, organized and able to take ownership of tasks. Furthermore, you are a great team player who thrives on setting a good example. You are flexible in relation to duties and working hours. You must be keen on learning new things, and the first period will of course include thorough training .
