Automation Engineers (Downstream)
As we continue to enhance and expand our capabilities, we are looking for two automation engineers who shares our passion, drive, and energy – what we call Genki – to join our team.

The current organization in Hillerød is approximately 800 employees and will grow significantly as we invest DKK 6 billion in capacity and capability expansions over the coming years. You will be part of the project to implement the IT & Automation of the expansion.
About the department
You will join a project team of highly skilled colleagues. The department is responsible for the IT and automation systems to be implemented in the expansion of the site. After implementation the department will become part of the site Automation department.
About the roles
Automation Downstream Senior Engineer and Engineer
You will be part of the IT and Automation team in the Drug Substance Manufacturing (DSM) Expansion project, and responsible for the following:
- Manage scope and vendor deliverables from a technical point of view.
- Manage the automation solution for the downstream processes provided by our vendor
- Ensure the project provides the deliverables in time and budget at the right quality.
- Manage stakeholders so they are informed about the technical solution and status
You have a
- Academic degree within engineering or similar
- Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
- Knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and the S88 standard
- Ability to work under short timelines within a manufacturing environment.
- Collaborative attitude with the willingness to work with partners in other countries
- Ability to organize personal tasks

FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies is an industry-leading biologics Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) with locations in Teesside, UK, RTP, North Carolina, College Station, Texas and Hillerød, Denmark. FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies has over thirty years of experience in the development and manufacturing of recombinant proteins, vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, among other large molecules, viral products and medical countermeasures expressed in a wide array of microbial, mammalian, and host/virus systems.
Our manufacturing site in Hillerød, Denmark, brings together a complete range of expertise, capabilities and technologies to manufacture advanced biologics. Our large scale manufacturing facility has a capacity of 120,000 liters to reliably manufacture biologics for late phase and commercial use. The facility for medical device assembly, labeling and packaging manufactures advanced delivery systems and ensures required labeling and secure packaging of the therapies for patients worldwide. The site also houses quality control laboratories, warehouses, and a number of organizations, supporting the manufacturing activities: process science, supply chain management, engineering and quality assurance. On June 9, 2020 FUJIFILM Corporation has announced the investment of approx. 6 billion Danish kroner into the site to double the manufacturing capacity, to add a fill finish capacity and to enhance the assembly, label and pack services on site. The investment is expected to create approx. 300 new jobs.
