Driven by payers, increasingly efficacious products, and new therapeutic approaches, such as gene therapy, pharmaceutical manufacturers are faced with both unique challenges and opportunities for developing the business processes.

Additionally, regulatory focus on secondary packaging, such as requirements from EU’s Falsified Medicines Directive and FDA’s Drug Supply Chain Security Act for serialization and anti-tampering measures are increasing the complexity of operating a competitive secondary packaging production.
