Keynote Presentaion @ 9:35am
Andy Topping , Chief Scientific Officer, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies is speaking on Shaping the future of antibody manufacturing
- The class of antibody therapeutics is becoming increasingly diverse. Addressing the manufacturing needs of companies developing antibody candidates is now no longer just about delivering large volumes of monospecific IgG blockbusters for a limited number of markets. Instead, companies require new solutions for novel antibody formats such as bispecific and multi-specific molecules. They need late phase development capabilities that can guide them towards commercialization, and a range of manufacturing options around the world that help them reduce risk and deliver for niche markets or multi-ton demand. In this presentation we will look at how a world-leading CDMO is supporting the antibody industry with innovation and scale-up, scale-out and continuous manufacturing solutions. We will look at where the industry is heading and the future solutions that will be required.
Antibodies Round Table Discussion -Table 4 @ 11:30
Nick Hutchinson, Business Steering Group Leader for Mammalian Cell Culture, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies is leading the round table discussion on Scale Up, Scale Out or Continuous: Process Development Considerations
- Scientists developing bioprocesses should consider the manufacturing facility where commercial manufacture will be performed
- Production may be scaled up into large-scale stainless-steel facilities, scaled out into flexible single-use facilities or run in a continuous production mode with a perfusion cell culture
- Our round table event will pull together industry experts to discuss process development considerations for these manufacturing platform configurations
Antibody Manufacturing Track @ 14:20
Morten Munk, Director, Alliance Management, FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies is presenting on Establishing Continuous Manufacturing in a Relevant Production Scale
- Development of a multi-functional continuous manufacturing process system
- Quality advantages of continuous manufacturing
- Optimal column loading case study
