- Clarification of mammalian cell culture processes is performed using disk stack centrifugation or depth filtration, the former requires significant capital expenditure and physical space, while the latter is being challenged with ever increasing cell densities and mAb titers. Recent innovations in single-use centrifugation technologies as well as depth filtration offer promise in alleviating current challenges in biomanufacturing.
