Analytical Technology Specialist

Our site in Hillerød is looking for a new Analytical Technology Specialist for the QC Analytical Technology Large Molecules group.

Job Description

You will be part of the Quality Control Analytical Technology Large Molecules group that currently consist of 5 members, and lead scientist functioning as manager, 2 technician and 2 chemists. This group reports into the Quality Control department.

Your primary tasks are:

  • Improve analytical methods by enhancing the method knowledge space through systematic robustness studies where you will author and review robustness protocols and reports

  • Drive and perform validation and transfer of methods. You will author and review analytical method procedure, failure mode effect analysis reports, validation protocols and reports, method transfer protocols and reports

  • Implement new technologies where you will lead and facilitate comparability studies including author and review of protocols and reports when risk-based evaluation leads to change(s) in an analytical method

  • Stay current on existing practices of the major pharmacopoeias

  • Support to Quality Control laboratory if unexpected analytical method trend is observed

Qualifications / Skills

  • Being agile and able to drive several projects simultaneously

  • Capable of being able to absorb and utilize new knowledge quickly

  • Have a welcoming and “can-do” attitude

  • Broad background in analytical methods of large molecules preferably in liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and microbiology

  • Necessary to have efficient competency to complete assigned projects on time and follow through with lead scientist when necessary

  • Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful conclusions

  • Experience with method validations, transfers and root cause investigations

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Solid understanding of GMP/GLP guidelines with minimum 5 years of experience from the biotech or pharmaceutical industry


  • Preferably Master of Science or Bachelor of Science within Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, or Biology or other related degree
